In 2015 Studio/lab worked with faculty and staff in the University of Chicago Institute for Molecular Engineering and the Division of Physical Sciences to develop a wayfinding and architectural graphics for the William Eckhardt Research Center. The scope of work included physical and digital building directories, a signage system, and schematic design for murals in the building’s lower-level nanofabrication facility that depict concepts of relative scale and quantum entanglement.

Quantum Café celebrates the story of Shrödinger’s Cat, a famous illustration of the principle of quantum superposition.
